Twinkies!

I will be judged when I say this, but then again I do live in the Philippines and they don't ship Hostess snack products here (creys). Anywho, I would just like to announce that I have finally had a taste of my first ever Twinkie!

Soft, moist, sweet, I am in love with these things! Too bad I only have two Twinkies left (more creys).

YUM!

Okay. I only have one left (even more creys).

I swear. These things are the equivalent of angels sent from heaven! But in spongy, yellow, cream-filled form.

I would really like to thank my very good friend for granting my request of getting me Twinkies as pasalubong.

I just need to rant...about shoes.

I need to rant so bad.

Anyway, I ordered shoes online two months ago to a trusted seller. The shoes are on a pre-order basis, which means that it takes two weeks to a month for it to be shipped to the buyer. I don't know. I mean, I guess it's because the suppliers are making the ordered shoes during that time span, right? Okay. So, I receive a group message telling my co-buyers and I that our orders have arrived and that the lady who's selling the shoes will text us individually about our shoes. I was extremely excited because, finally, I will receive the shoes I ordered.

I received the text from the lady and, lo and behold, she tells me that the shoes she received from her supplier has a different design, but are still "the same shoes". She keeps texting me, telling me that if I'm still interested in them, she'll ship it to me, and if not, she'll give me a refund. Alright. I guess that's a fair deal, right? But what really pissed me off, what the reason for my ranting is, is the fact that she suddenly told me that the shoes I ordered were out-of-stock, that's why her supplier shipped her a different pair of shoes.

I mean, seriously? That's their excuse? Because it's OUT-OF-STOCK? So your suppliers are trying to make up for it by sending me a different pair of shoes with a design I don't even like? I have just two words to say about that: DUMB FUCKS. The suppliers could've told the lady that the shoes I wanted were out-of-stock. She could've given me a refund long ago and I could've ordered again some other time. They just basically wasted my time waiting and expecting. I know they tried to make up for it, but I was very specific with my order, even sending a picture of the shoes to make sure that they don't make a mistake like this.

I'm getting my refund. Or force the lady to have them make me the pair of shoes I wanted and that I'll be expecting it on my doorstep in a less amount of time.

I'm sorry for ranting about something shallow and irrelevant, but I just had to bring it out.

Best gifts EVER.

This is a very late post because I just got the SD card for my camera back from my uncle.

Anywho, last Friday, I went to Cubao X again for some double date bonding time and got the sweetest gifts ever from Chris.

from left to right: Manikako DIY doll, yellow paisley bag, wooden paint palette, bottles of oils, varnish, and cleaner, 24 oil paint set, table top easel, and two panel canvases

I got a table top easel, a 24 oil paint set, linseed oil, 3-in-1 oil painting medium, super fine retouch varnish, cleaner (for the oil paint), two panel canvases, and a wooden paint palette. I'm extremely happy because I finally get to practice oil painting, which, by the way, is very difficult.

I also included a couple of things I bought in the photo: a yellow bag with paisley prints and a Manikako DIY doll. Not only did I buy myself a purdy bag and a crafts doll, but I also helped out a charity that funds free art workshops for Filipino children in need.

I'll make a post about the Manikako doll's makeover soon.

More adventures to come!
